Directions: Follow the signs for the Hickory Ridge Group camp and horse campground-keep going past the entrance to the horse trailer parking and around the curve. The group gathering area fire circle/patio will be on your right just beyond a line of small pine trees. You can park along the road and walk the short distance to the fire circle.
Food and CampFire: Board member Sandy Rogers has kindly invited us to enjoy a campfire at her site (# 757- near the ADA site and new toilet building) for the latter part of the meeting, so bring your camp chair and your favorite beverage and join us for some social time as well as the business meeting.
Note: Sandy and FOGD members Sherri Torrison and Kim Pope will be providing the fixings for "walking tacos" for those who want to come a little early to grab something to eat before the meeting. Campsite #757.
If the weather is bad, we will meet at the maintenance building.

Pesto Making with Garlic Mustard
Pesto making workshop on Saturday, May 28that 2 PM. Pesto is traditionally made with basil as the main ingredient, but this session will utilize a main ingredient harvested locally right in the park-garlic mustard! This invasive plant was brought to North America as a food during the mid-1800’s and is now prolific throughout Wisconsin woodlands. Pulling is encouraged to help control its spread, but on May 28th it will be made into a yummy snack! Join Park Naturalist and amateur chef Mark Sethne for this fun activity at the Trails End pavilion near the Amphitheater. Make some, take some!
