Located in the heart of Southwest Wisconsin’s beautiful Driftless area, Governor Dodge State Park covers 5,350 acres of rolling hills, sandstone cliffs, and deep valleys. The park’s 40+ miles of trails offer beautiful scenery for hiking, horseback riding, biking, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling. Two man-made lakes boast ample opportunity for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. There’s even a dog beach!     The Friends’ Equestrian Committee has been the driving force behind the park’s recently completed equestrian campground and many trail improvements. As one park user recently stated, “If you have a horse and a trailer, Governor Dodge is a spectacular trail riding destination.”
